Mission Statement

The Middleton Police Department is dedicated to excellence as a top notch public safety agency. We are committed to establishing an environment in which members of the Police Department thrive. We seek to be a catalyst for positive change through persistent, personalized, and cost effect use of public safety resources. By embracing the values of excellence, innovation, and integrity we remain committed to maintaining the public trust.

We must remain fiscally responsible to the community. Budgets must reflect the department's ability to meet the needs of the community by providing quality law enforcement services while operating within acceptable budget limitations. The people of Middleton must believe that they are getting good value from their tax dollars as it relates to the Police Department. It is my responsibility to provide a level of service to the community that residents of Middleton are willing to fund, within reasonable limits.

We have dedicated ourselves to becoming part of the community through improved "Communications", mutual setting of priorities and a shared commitment to community policing. Together, our efforts will set the standard for policing in the 21st century.

It is my responsibility to seek to improve the quality of life for all residents of Middleton through a proactive "team" approach through timely and innovative interventions in community problems. I recognize that our employees are our most treasured asset and the cornerstone of out department's success. We value the diverse and unique contributions made by our employees, residents, and businesses to the common goal of public safety.

In closing, my vision is that the Middleton Police Department will be a top notch agency based upon a foundation of public trust, and dedicated to keeping the "public" in public safety.
