New Booster Seat Law takes Effect

In April 2008, Governor Deval Patrick signed Senate Bill 2018, dubbed the Booster Seat Bill, into law.  This law will went into effect on July 10, 2008.  This enhancement of the Massachusetts Child Passenger Safety Law requires that all children riding in passenger motor vehicles must be in a federally approved child passenger restraint that is properly fastened and secured until they are 8 years old or over 57” tall.  This will significantly increase the number of children who will be required to ride in a booster seat.  For further information on the new law and more information on child safety please refer to the following link: .Child Passenger Safety

Please Take Notice

The Middleton Police Department with the help of volunteer senior citizens are conducting a phone survey throughout the town. They will be calling every household and asking the residents to take a few minutes to answer a series of community related questions in order for our department to have a better understanding on the quality of life issues that impact the Town of Middleton and the citizens in which we serve. Thank you for assisting in this survey. Please be aware that this is NOT a fundraising activity. Please see the Crime Alert link for information on fundraising scams.
